Alexandria West is a neighborhood of Alexandria located in Fairfax County. Alexandria West has many places to go outside and get some fresh air with many parks. There are many restaurants to grab a bite to eat and the streets stay well lit for a safe nightlife. Alexandria West is close to Washington D.C. and you can easily commute there by metro.

Lake Barcroft is a privately owned community with many beaches and wildlife, that prides itself on its festivals and events. Located in Falls Church, this community is for paying residents only and is known for its parades, Fourth of July Fireworks, and social gatherings on the beach. There are many ways to stay active in this community from boating to the many clubs it has to offer such as the Newcomers’ Club.

Located in Fairfax County, West Falls Church is a community made of many subdivisions from the 1940s to the early 1950s. Located less than 10 miles from Washington D.C., this community offers many restaurants, parks, and easy access to the activities at the capitol. May, June, and September are considered the most pleasant months of this community with beautiful weather! Annandale is a census-based community located outside of Washinton, D.C. This community is known for the oldest and largest branch of the Virginia Community College System. Annandale has many sites to take in like the Hidden Oaks Nature Center as well as one of Washinton D.C.s area Koreatowns. This community in Fairfax County offers many places to dine as well as activities such as the Alexandria Coliseum at Kids Choice.

Lincolnia is a suburb of Washinton D.C. that is home to many families and young professionals. Besides many eateries and coffee shops, Lincolnia has many outdoor areas to enjoy nature. The Green Spring Gardens is a public park that holds a lot of history. One of the structures in this park is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Franconia is a community located outside of Springfield in Fairfax County. This community has existed since the 1870s when a station by that name opened on the RF&P Railroad. Its current suburban form came to be in the 1950s as most of the other areas. Franconia is near to the Springfield Mall for all your shopping needs and in close proximity to the Springfield-Franconia Washington Metro Station. Hop on to the metro where the capitol is a short distance away!

Springfield is recognized by the U.S. National Census as part of Northern Virginia, the most populated area of the Washinton Metropolitan Area. This area is dominated by three major interstates including the Capitol Beltway and is known as the Springfield Interchange. A commercial district is near to the interchange, but most of Springfield is primarily residential. The former Springfield Mall was located in Springfield interchange but closed in 2005. In 2014, the structure was bought and reopened in 2014 as the Springfield Town Center.

North Springfield is located in the southern part of Fairfax County that borders the Capital Beltway and Norfolk Southern Railway. The Capital Beltway is very accessible from North Springfield and Washington D.C. sits only 14 miles away. North Springfield is located close to the Washington D.C. area which offers many sites in the Captial and activities such as the Smithsonian Museum and the National Zoo.

West Springfield is a suburb of Washinton D.C. with a population of around 23,000 residents. West Springfield in Fairfax County is one of the highest-rated areas to live in Virginia. This community has a very dense suburban feel and has amazing school systems. There are many job opportunities in West Springfield and this community is a great place to raise a family.

Hybla Valley is close to Washington D.C. in Fairfax County close to Huntley Meadows Park. This highly-rated community offers an urban/suburban mix to its residents where they can have the best of both worlds. There are great schools located in Hybla Valley and many residents choose to raise their families here. Hybla Valley has a great number of restaurants to choose from as well as many parks and outdoor areas to spend your time.

Fort Belvoir North is a community that is home to many of the Army’s Defense offices. Located in Fairfax County, Fort Belvoir North is home to many US Military organizations and has twice as many workers as the Pentagon. This community is the largest employer of the county. Many families live in the area, especially those that are military, and Fort Belvoir North has many great childcare centers available.
